How to Perform a GDPR Data Request in Microsoft 365!

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the European Union’s new legislation to protect the personal data of EU citizens. The GDPR has been born of a need to regulate data protection, amongst other data concerns, throughout the European member states by updating the now archaic 1995 Data Protection Directive (DPD); a set of laws created at the onset of the internet era and long before the digital age. On the other hand as a citizen, you have the rights as a data subject to request that any company holding your data provide you with a copy. This would then allow you correct any errors or even request your records be deleted. As an administrator it will fall on you to fulfil these requests. But how is this done. In this episode of All you Need to Know we answer that very question by showing a demo in Microsoft 365 as well as discussing what’s involved.
